I think that the beautiful thing about collecting investment art is that it creates a bond between the artist and the buyer.
I love hearing the stories of why my collectors chose the art they did and how it connected to their heart or thoughts and what it means to them to have it in their space.
A carefully chosen artwork can be a talking point or create an atmosphere, show your unique aesthetic and inspire a vision of your values. Art can be a powerful way to communicate and be an outward expression of inner emotions.

As a little girl I just loved art. Visiting grandma's house was like a treat!
Her little stone cottage in the hills was filled to the rafter with artworks. She had precious keepsakes and hand crafted ceramic pots painted with botanical art everywhere! It was an art gallery of treasures!
I remember laying on the floor, looking up at all the beauty my imagination taking me to far off places in my mind. I felt breathless, excited and peaceful all at the same.
My grandma taught me to paint Australian gum trees as my first oil painting lesson.
My mother also an artist and teacher, creatively themed her kindy classroom to the heights of madness! Every year I would mural her classroom windows and doors and create everything from ladybugs to Dr Seuss!
When my little girls came along, we filled our world with the wonder of nature as our art classroom, fingers and toes sticky and messy most days. We made paints from river rock ochre and played in our own secret garden in the forest. Seeing their creative spirits flourish validated my love of art and brought such joy to our family.
We now have four generations of artists with beautiful stories and memories to treasure.
It's taught me to cherish connection, tell stories and build creative legacies. This innocent playful discovery of the world is the heart-beat of creativity and inspiration.

Discovering freedom...
When I was a child I was so passionate about art!
I was really encouraged for my talents and art achievements.
But art as a career was met with so much negativity
a world of doubt and discouragement piled up all over my desire to create.
It was a life path you were NOT meant to choose.
“No matter what, don’t become an artist!”
However it was already too late.
I felt all trapped inside, unable to express myself, feeling lost, unwanted, unconnected and unvalued.
My destructive beliefs that were soul-crushing and my shyness
made me lock it all away and retreated into a little hermit’s cave
to protect myself and my dreams.
As a classical pianist, I knew that practice makes perfect!
So I decided to spend as much time and effort on my art as at my piano.
It would have to work!
I had to rebuild my confidence and become assertive.
I would force myself into social situations, just so that I could learn the art of conversation!
I spent connecting to my heart and using my creative skills
My identity became stronger and the ‘hidden me’ started to come forward.
Now I am thankful to look deeper to uncover treasure and potential in others.
I have compassion for people who feel displaced, forgotten, misunderstood or sidelined by important people.
I seek out interesting people who live unique lives and find connections that inspired me.
This gives me so much freedom to live in.
I learnt the truth about myself.
Now I’m unapologetically me!
